Senior AI Ethics Specialist - Responsible AI Development

Our client, a pioneer in Artificial Intelligence research and development, is seeking an experienced Senior AI Ethics Specialist to champion the principles of responsible AI across their organization. This crucial role will focus on ensuring that AI technologies are developed and deployed in a manner that is fair, transparent, accountable, and beneficial to society. You will work at the intersection of technology, policy, and ethics, developing frameworks, guidelines, and best practices for AI development. Key responsibilities include conducting ethical risk assessments for AI systems, advising development teams on mitigating bias and ensuring fairness, contributing to the development of AI governance policies, and staying abreast of evolving ethical considerations and regulatory landscapes in AI. You will collaborate closely with AI researchers, engineers, product managers, and legal teams to embed ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and a deep grounding in ethical theory, philosophy, public policy, or a related field. Proven experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology policy is required. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential for articulating complex ethical issues and facilitating dialogue among diverse stakeholders. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the US. A Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field is highly preferred.
