Lead AI Ethics Specialist

This critical role will be responsible for shaping and implementing ethical frameworks, guidelines, and best practices for the development and deployment of artificial intelligence systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AI technologies, a strong background in ethics, philosophy, law, or social sciences, and a proven ability to navigate complex ethical dilemmas in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, refine, and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies, principles, and guidelines across the organization. Conduct ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for new and existing AI products and services. Collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, product managers, and legal teams to ensure ethical considerations are integrated throughout the AI lifecycle. Provide expert guidance and training on AI ethics, fairness, accountability, transparency, and safety to internal teams. Stay abreast of global regulations, industry standards, and academic research in AI ethics and responsible AI. Engage with external stakeholders, including policymakers, academics, and industry peers, to contribute to the broader discourse on AI ethics. Develop metrics and mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating the ethical performance of AI systems. Advise on the ethical implications of data usage, algorithmic bias, and potential societal impacts of AI technologies. Lead cross-functional working groups focused on addressing specific AI ethics challenges. Contribute to thought leadership, potentially through publications, presentations, or white papers on AI ethics.
