Duration: 6 + Months

Location: Deerfield IL 60015 - Hybrid in Deerfield

Job Summary

The Technical Analyst III will help establish, mature, and operationalize the enterprise’s AI Governance framework, while also supporting the evaluation, oversight, and delivery of AI and automation initiatives across the business.

This role requires a blend of technical fluency, AI/ML solution understanding, governance experience, and strong cross-functional communication with stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance, Risk, Procurement, and business teams.

The ideal candidate is an AI engineer with exposure to Power Automate, and someone who has previously worked in or helped stand up an AI Governance function. Hands-on capabilities are valuable, but the role is primarily governance-first, with ability to guide automation teams and occasionally roll up their sleeves when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI Governance (Primary Focus – ~70%)
  • Establish, run, and continuously mature the organization’s AI Governance model, processes, and frameworks.
  • Lead weekly AI governance council or working group meetings with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Procurement, and business stakeholders.
  • Evaluate incoming AI use cases and vendor solutions using a standardized scoring and assessment process.
  • Review vendor-provided LLMs and AI models, including:
  • Model cards
  • Hallucination risk
  • Drift scores
  • Safety and reliability metrics
  • LLM type (OpenAI, proprietary, other)
  • Create and maintain templates, checklists, and documentation for AI risk assessments, vendor questionnaires, and governance workflows.
  • Facilitate vendor engagements for AI governance tools or AI solutions (schedule meetings, coordinate stakeholders, gather requirements, guide decisions).
  • Ensure alignment with healthcare regulatory expectations (HIPAA, FDA/medical device considerations) when applicable.
  • Advise on AI compliance standards and ethical AI practices.

AI Engineering & Technical Guidance (~20%)

  • Provide technical review and oversight of vendor AI solutions.
  • Possess hands-on knowledge of AI agentic frameworks (Azure or multi-cloud environment).
  • Understand and evaluate technical architectures for SaaS-based AI solutions.
  • Contribute to internal AI framework development using Azure AI tools and services (nice to have).
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and vendor teams.

Automation Oversight & Support (~10%)

  • Provide direction and prioritization guidance to existing Power Automate engineering teams.
  • Support identification and evaluation of processes suited for automation (high ROI, high-volume manual workflows—e.g., AP/AR, data entry, repetitive tasks).
  • Participate in solution reviews and occasionally support hands-on work in Power Automate if needed.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate manual workflows into automation opportunities.

  • Strong understanding of:
  • LLM evaluation
  • Model quality / drift
  • Hallucination risks
  • Responsible AI concepts

  • Power Automate / Power Apps (guidance-level understanding required; deep hands-on optional)

Soft Skills & Leadership

  • Strong cross-functional communication, especially with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to run governance meetings, drive consensus, and influence decision-making.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior leadership during panel reviews and solution presentations.
