Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite 3 days/week)

Base Salary: $150K–$200K

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced AI Consultant with deep expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, and Generative AI, combined with strong domain knowledge in both Manufacturing/SLM and Mortgage Lending.

This is a full-stack, client-facing AI engineering & consulting role involving solution architecture, hands-on development, pre-sales, rapid prototyping, and enterprise AI delivery across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

The ideal candidate has the ability to build scalable AI systems for industrial operations, service lifecycle management, and mortgage automation, while serving as a strategic advisor for enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI Solutioning & Consulting

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-value AI/ML and GenAI opportunities across manufacturing, SLM, and mortgage operations.
• Lead client engagements, pre-sales discussions, AI maturity assessments, and roadmap-building workshops.
• Translate business problems into scalable AI solution architectures covering data ingestion, modeling, orchestration, deployment, and monitoring.
• Develop PoCs, demos, and prototypes that demonstrate measurable business impact across both domains.

2. Technical Leadership

• Build end-to-end pipelines for:
• Anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and vision-based inspection.
• Document intelligence, risk scoring, underwriting automation, and loan processing.
• Generative AI copilots for technicians, field service, loan officers, and customer interaction.
• Develop RAG-based knowledge assistants using technical documents, service manuals, mortgage documents, and telemetry.
• Implement agentic AI workflows for decision automation, information retrieval, and workflow orchestration.
• Oversee full-lifecycle AI development from data engineering through deployment and monitoring.

3. Cloud Engineering & MLOps

• Deliver AI workloads on AWS, Azure, and GCP using services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, Azure ML, OpenAI, Vertex AI, and Gemini.
• Implement MLOps/LLMOps pipelines (MLflow, Kubeflow, Vertex Pipelines, Azure ML) ensuring versioning, automation, CI/CD, and governance.
• Build containerized AI services using Docker/Kubernetes and deploy APIs using FastAPI/Flask.
• Integrate AI models with IoT/edge systems for real-time industrial inference and high-throughput mortgage decision flows.

4. Domain Expertise

Manufacturing & SLM

• Apply AI to digital twins, defect prediction, yield optimization, service lifecycle analytics, and vision-based quality inspection.
• Build predictive maintenance models, spare parts forecasting, and technician copilots.
• Work with engineering, service, and manufacturing teams to enable closed-loop intelligence.

Mortgage

• Build AI/ML/GenAI solutions across loan origination, underwriting, credit risk, fraud detection, and servicing.
• Develop compliant, explainable AI models aligned with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, CFPB, and industry standards.
• Deliver intelligent agents for document processing, borrower interaction, and workflow automation.

5. Thought Leadership & Enablement

• Support RFPs, sales cycles, client presentations, and executive-level discussions.
• Mentor teams on enterprise AI engineering, GenAI system design, and multi-agent architectures.
• Contribute to internal accelerators, reusable frameworks, and reference architectures across both domains.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in AI/ML, including 2+ years in Generative AI, LLMs, or Agentic AI.
• Strong foundation across ML, DL, NLP, computer vision, and time-series modeling.
• Expert-level Python skills; hands-on with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, LangChain, and Semantic Kernel.
• Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and API deployment (FastAPI/Flask).
• Familiarity with MLOps/LLMOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Azure ML, Vertex AI).
• Deep understanding of both:
• Manufacturing processes, IoT, and service lifecycle data, AND
• Mortgage lifecycle, underwriting workflows, and regulatory constraints.
• Excellent communication, client-facing, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, Azure AI Search).
• Knowledge of industrial IoT platforms, digital twins, and predictive maintenance.
• Understanding of Responsible AI, explainability, and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of PLM/ERP/SLM and mortgage LOS systems.
• Exposure to multi-agent AI architectures.
• MBA or domain certifications in manufacturing or mortgage.
