Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and annotate insurance documents, claims files, and datasets to support AI model development.
• Articulate clear, step-by-step reasoning for underwriting, risk, or claims decisions to guide machine learning processes.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to define labeling guidelines and improve data quality.
• Apply best practices in claims management workflows, policy administration, and regulatory compliance during data annotation and review.
• Identify patterns and anomalies related to fraud and collaborate on the enhancement of AI-driven fraud detection techniques.
• Provide domain-specific feedback to refine AI models and support quality assurance initiatives.
• Communicate findings and complex concepts effectively across multidisciplinary teams, both in writing and verbally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven expertise in insurance—claims management, underwriting, actuarial analysis, or risk assessment.
• Hands-on experience with claims workflows and exposure to SIU/fraud prevention strategies.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting processes, pricing models, and policy administration.
• Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
• Meticulous attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to clear documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment and deliver high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in AI model training, data annotation, or similar projects within financial services.
• Advanced certifications in insurance (CPCU, AIC, etc.) or relevant technical training.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional, remote teams in an agile setting.
