We are seeking a talented Robotics AI Research Scientist to join our innovative team. Responsibilities

  • Conduct fundamental and applied research to advance the frontiers of embodied artificial intelligence.
  • Invent and enhance data-driven paradigms for robotics, utilizing various modalities such as images, video, text, audio, and tactile information.
  • Explore frameworks that enable a wide range of embodied behaviors, from simulated characters to real robots, including both short-term and long-term intelligence.
  • Develop algorithms using state-of-the-art machine learning and neural network techniques.
  • Define, create, and benchmark new functionalities essential for the next generation of AI.
  • Pursue research aligned with long-term product goals while identifying key milestones along the way.
  • Plan and execute novel research initiatives supporting the organization's future objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Currently pursuing or having obtained a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in areas such as robotics, motion planning, embodied AI, human-robot interaction, sim-to-real transfer, reinforcement learning, dexterous manipulation, digital agents, and vision language models.
  • Experience within robotics research fields like robot learning, reinforcement and imitation learning, task and motion planning, and navigation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to solve complex problems and weigh alternative solutions and trade-offs effectively.
  • Experience with both robot simulations and real-world hardware.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Over two years of industry experience in relevant robotics research areas.
  • A proven track record of significant contributions as evidenced by grants, fellowships, patents, or publications at renowned conferences and journals in Machine Learning, Robotics, or Computer Vision.
  • Capability to manipulate and analyze large-scale, complex data from diverse sources.
  • Experience in building systems utilizing machine learning and deep learning techniques.
  • Demonstrated research and software engineering experience through internships, work experience, or significant contributions to open-source projects.
  • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and programming in Python.

Public Compensation

$154,000/year to $217,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
