Role and Responsibilities

The Senior AI Engineer – Computer Vision Platform is responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining an advanced AI platform that supports computer vision, machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and large language models (LLMs). This role focuses on scaling model performance, creating essential tools and frameworks, and managing compute and storage resources. Key responsibilities include:

Scale the AI platform for high performance and integrate new capabilities via APIs to support a variety of ML models.
Design, develop, and implement tools and frameworks to enable ML experimentation and deployment.
Manage GPU and CPU resources for efficient execution of AI and CV models, optimizing for both performance and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with data scientists to integrate computer vision models seamlessly into the platform.
Create and optimize data pipelines to support high-volume AI training and inference needs.
Analyze platform performance metrics and user feedback to guide continuous improvement and innovation.
Work cross-functionally with technical and business teams to align platform capabilities with organizational goals.
Implement security protocols and governance measures to ensure data integrity, compliance, and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, math, or related field; or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience in ML platform engineering, computer vision, data, MLOps tools, and ML frameworks.
4+ years of experience with Python programming.
4+ years hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and building/deploying computer vision models.
4+ years of experience with CI/CD tools for model deployment.
3+ years of experience with OpenCV, scikit-image, or PIL for image processing.
3+ years of experience managing GPU and CPU infrastructure to optimize ML performance.
3+ years of experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
3+ years of experience with MLflow, Kubeflow, or DVC for managing ML model lifecycle.
Experience defining technical requirements and high-level design for complex solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in STEM, statistics, data science, economics, or related quantitative fields.
3+ years of experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, Hadoop ecosystem, Trino, Druid, BigQuery, Google Vertex AI, or Spark.
Knowledge of model optimization techniques such as pruning, quantization, TensorRT, or ONNX Runtime.
Familiarity with Nvidia deep learning stacks and model-serving frameworks.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
Hands-on experience with TorchServe or FastAPI.
Background in developing real-time or offline video processing pipelines using deep learning.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $109,400.00 – $207,900.00 annually. Starting pay may vary depending on experience, education, training, and location.
