Role Overview

LivTech is looking to build an industry leading AI department. Reporting directly to our corporate CTO and working closely with our head of AI, you will architect and develop voice-based technologies that integrate to our all-product lines. From simple note taking to multi-party bi-directional voice interactions, the work you do will have a profound impact on the quality of care our partners are able to provide their patients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end development of ambient voice tooling used across LivTech products.
  • Design low-latency streaming pipelines that are robust to noise, accents, and multi-speaker clinical settings.
  • Convert conversations into structured artifacts (clinical notes, tasks, orders, billing codes, …) and trigger downstream EHR/RCM workflows.
  • Own model lifecycle: data curation/labeling, training & fine-tuning, evaluation (WER/SER, latency, hallucination), and prompt/guardrail design.
  • Ship production-grade services: containerize models, autoscale, add observability, A/B test, and feature-flag rollouts.
  • Build reusable SDKs/APIs and reference apps to accelerate adoption by product teams; document patterns and best practices.
  • Maintain gold-standard evaluation sets reflecting domain jargon and care environments; close the loop with human-in-the-loop feedback.
  • Help quantify impact (time saved, documentation quality, denial reduction) and communicate results to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and experimental mindset.
  • Ability to translate research into practical product features.
  • Passion for voice-first user experiences.
  • Self-starter with high initiative and ownership.
  • Adaptable, curious, and eager to learn emerging technologies
  • Solid grounding in applied machine learning and model lifecycle (training, validation, deployment).
  • Strong programming skills in Python (PyTorch/TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or similar ML libraries).
  • Experience with speech recognition, natural language understanding (NLU), or conversational AI.
  • Hands-on experience with ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) and TTS (Text-to-Speech) systems.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, AI, Statistics, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large language models (LLMs) and fine-tuning for voice/NLP tasks.
  • Background in healthcare, medical technology, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with multimodal AI (voice + structured data + text).
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS) for deploying AI systems.
  • Track record of building production-ready conversational or voice-first products.
  • Knowledge of privacy-preserving AI methods (e.g., HIPAA compliance, federated learning).
