Sr Specialist, Artificial Intelligence Security Clearance

Position Overview

Harris Technologies, a trusted disruptor in the defense industry, is seeking a Sr. Specialist in Artificial Intelligence. In this role, you will be part of the IMS Artificial Intelligence team working on end-to-end AI/ML solutions that improve workflows, mission effectiveness, and employee experience. You will design, implement, optimize, and maintain production-grade AI/ML models while collaborating in an inclusive, engaging environment dedicated to excellence, innovation, and national security. Ability to obtain a US Security clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, train, test, and deploy AI/ML models across domains such as computer vision, natural language processing, task optimization, and data analytics.
• Develop production-ready software components, APIs, microservices, and automation tools that integrate AI/ML into enterprise systems and workflows.
• Implement and support end-to-end ML pipelines, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Optimize models through data preprocessing, transformation, quality checks, and maintain CI/CD & MLOps workflows for automated training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Leverage AI frameworks, toolkits, and cloud/on-prem infrastructure to ensure reliable, high-performing, and secure solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 6+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 4+ years.
• Proven hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models in production environments.
• At least 3 years of programming experience (e.g., Python, C++, Rust, Java) and proficiency with AI/ML libraries and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, distributed training, optimization techniques, and deployment environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret or higher security clearance.
• Experience applying AI/ML in aerospace, defense, ISR, maritime, or other mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and Graph architectures.

• Compensation: Salary range of $107,500 MIN – $190,000 MAX in designated regions.
• Flexible 9/80 schedule (Every Other Friday Off).
