LLM Prompt Engineering Intern

FlomadLabs

Overview

Flomad is looking for a curious and technically skilled Prompt Engineering Intern to join our fast-moving AI team. In this role, you’ll work with large language models (LLMs) to design, refine, and implement high-performance prompts that support tasks across software development, technical writing, and automation.

You'll contribute to internal prompt libraries, experiment with prompt structures for improved model output, and help team members integrate LLMs into their workflows. This role is ideal for someone excited about the emerging field of prompt engineering, with a passion for applied AI and improving team productivity through better interaction with generative tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and optimize prompts for tasks such as code generation, knowledge retrieval, and documentation.
  • Support team members in building effective prompt strategies to streamline software, AI, and content workflows.
  • Evaluate the performance of various LLMs on different task categories, ensuring results meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with AGI researchers and developers to deploy prompt-based tools in production environments.
  • Build internal guides, prompt templates, and best practices documentation for cross-functional usage.
  • Research the latest developments in prompt engineering and NLP, applying findings to internal tools and methods.
  • Participate in regular team discussions to share insights and propose new use cases for LLM-powered automation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in explaining AI behaviors and limitations.
  • Familiarity with natural language processing, LLMs (like GPT, Claude, Gemini), or AI-assisted development tools.
  • Hands-on experience with prompt design or use of AI tools for programming, writing, or automation tasks.
  • Knowledge of Python or JavaScript is helpful, but not required.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across engineering, research, and content teams.
  • Enthusiasm for AI productivity tools, automation, and experimentation in a fast-paced innovation environment.

Why Join Us?

  • Innovate with LLMs & AI Tools: Get hands-on with leading-edge LLMs, developing practical solutions for real-world tasks.
  • Flexible Remote Work: Work from anywhere with a flexible schedule. Choose between part-time (8–10 hrs/week minimum) or full-time (up to 40 hrs/week).
  • Optional Onsite Experience: Interested in face-to-face collaboration? Join us on-site in Austin, Texas or Lemnos, Greece.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, AI researchers, and documentation experts to push the boundaries of LLM utility.
  • Skill-Building in a New Domain: Develop rare, in-demand skills in prompt engineering and intelligent automation—one of the fastest-growing niches in AI.
