We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team at CertaraAI as a Machine Learning Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining our machine learning and LLM platform at CertaraAI. They will have experience working on a software team as a machine learning engineer, data engineer, or another adjacent position. Finally, they will have a good understanding of software development, machine learning and deep learning theory, and building scalable systems.

Responsibilities

Contribute as part of a high velocity, high performance development team of machine learning engineers and data scientists responsible for driving innovation, building and maintaining our state-of-the-art LLM and machine learning platform.

Work primarily on backend python applications (generally RESTful APIs or queue-based systems).

Work on and maintain LLM servers and model management systems.

Develop stack knowledge required to deploy, test, and troubleshoot the platform on our physical hardware and cloud servers.

Help guide the direction of the platform and codebases, stay up to date in advancements in LLMs, retrieval, and machine learning.

Qualifications

Requirements

3-5 years of experience in an engineering role focused on machine learning applications.

Very proficient in Python, Bash, Git.

Proficient in SQL, application design, Docker, Kubernetes

Experience with LLM prompt engineering, problem-solving using LLMs, and applying LLMs to real-world use cases.

Familiar with software development best practices, development cycles, and writing maintainable and effective code.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., data science, computer science, statistics)

Familiar with retrieval/search systems and vector databases

Familiar with Nvidia/Cuda
