AI Risk Management Analyst

We are a leading off-price retailer seeking an AI Risk Management Analyst to join our team remotely. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing overall risk across our AI systems and models. This position supports the assessment process, maintains risk inventories, and creates governance artifacts, dashboards, and training programs for responsible AI utilization.

Rate: $50-$55/hr (W2)

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the complete lifecycle of AI use cases from intake, review, and assessment to socialization and closure.
  • Responsible for maintaining comprehensive inventories of AI systems, models, datasets, and third-party AI tools, including their risk tiers and approval statuses.
  • Emphasize and communicate risks pertaining to AI use cases, assisting business owners with risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth AI risk assessments that evaluate purpose, model risk, bias, transparency, accuracy, and the necessity for human oversight.
  • Oversee the AI intake process, coordinating triage, scoping, and routing with Legal, Privacy, Cybersecurity, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Create governance templates and artifacts including risk profiles, decision logs, and assessment checklists to ensure effective AI management.
  • Develop and present dashboards and executive reports for leadership, audit, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Manage periodic reviews and recertification of AI systems while coordinating post-deployment monitoring and incident response activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure governance requirements are aligned with delivery milestones.
  • Provide training, guidance, and updates on responsible AI practices and process changes.

Experience Requirements

  • Ability to work during Eastern Standard Time hours.
  • Solid understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including data pipelines, model lifecycle, performance monitoring, bias, and explainability.
  • Demonstrated experience in operationalizing governance processes, including intake, control testing, evidence collection, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.
  • Familiarity with governance artifacts such as model cards and risk registers is preferred.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI practices, including human oversight, safety, and transparency; exposure to MLOps is a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise governance platforms and data catalog tools is a valuable asset.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data/Computer Science, Information Systems, Risk/Compliance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
