About the Role

The Senior AI Strategy Consultant (SAISC) will be a pivotal figure in exploring how our data streaming solutions can optimize business outcomes for AI-driven applications. You’ll work autonomously to develop strategies that showcase how Confluent’s platform amplifies AI capabilities, engaging directly with customers and conducting market analyses to drive informed decision-making within Confluent. This role encompasses a blend of technical knowledge and cross-functional collaboration, including:

• Research: Conduct in-depth, long-term research investigations into how data streaming can synergize with existing AI technologies. Your findings will guide both R&D and go-to-market strategies to help our clients build real-time applications.
• Market Engagement: Act as Confluent's representative at key industry events, interacting with C-level executives, media, and analysts to highlight the significance of data streaming in enabling AI solutions. Collaborate with the Customer and Product Advisory Boards to ensure our offerings maintain exceptional quality and market relevance.
• Thought Leadership: Influence industry perspectives on data streaming applications in AI through well-crafted technical content and compelling use cases. Foster the adoption of Confluent products among AI practitioners and empower our team to better connect with our customers.
• Streamlining Advocacy: Build credibility for Confluent as a key player in AI application development by working alongside our solutions engineering team to innovate technical patterns and reference architectures.
• Product Development: Suggest significant technological shifts to Product/Engineering, ensuring our solutions integrate with AI workflows. Prototype novel concepts, assess various implementation strategies, and envision capabilities planned for twelve months or more ahead.
• Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of AI technology trends that may influence Confluent's direction. Analyze competitive threats and identify new opportunities.

What You Will Bring

• Senior leadership experience in R&D or go-to-market strategies for enterprise SaaS companies, with a strong background in commercializing AI-enabled products, or substantial experience as an AI researcher with a PhD in Computer Science (or similar) and reputable publications.
• Ability to distill complex technical subjects into clear and concise concepts, knowing when to delve deeper when needed.
• Proven influence in dealings with C-level executives and decision-makers.
• Expertise in creating innovative content that redefines existing ideas in engaging ways.
• Exceptional writing skills that communicate complex topics with clarity.
• Confident speaking abilities that encompass both technical and theoretical aspects.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, delivering high-quality results under minimal supervision.
• Experience in software development or data science is essential.
• A broad understanding of technology, particularly distributed systems and business strategies; experience in data streaming is a significant advantage.
