We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented AI Governance Specialist to enhance our AI oversight framework. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our AI initiatives are aligned with best practices in risk management, compliance, and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct AI intake reviews to evaluate AI solutions, focusing on their purpose, stakeholders, end users, data usage, and associated risks.
- Manage and update the enterprise agent registry, ensuring agents are accurately linked to their approved AI use cases.
- Maintain comprehensive records within ServiceNow AI Control Tower to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Translate Responsible AI policies into actionable controls and guidelines for business teams, fostering a culture of compliance.
- Monitor risk mitigation efforts, document progress, and collaborate with stakeholders to address any challenges.
- Coordinate pre-production safety and adversarial testing, including checks for prompt injection, hallucination sampling, and bias.
- Assist in onboarding use cases to our enterprise AI observability platform, tracking performance alerts to ensure optimal functioning.
- Create user-friendly materials including guidance documents, SOPs, decision trees, and FAQs to facilitate understanding and compliance.
- Support AI incident response activities by handling documentation and triage effectively.
- Work closely with legal, privacy, security, and engineering teams to enhance governance checklists and testing protocols based on observed risks.
- Proactively identify and escalate high-impact AI risks to relevant governance forums for prompt decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Law, Ethics, or Public Policy is preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in AI risk management, data governance, privacy compliance, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of AI ethics, regulations, and associated frameworks.
- Technical knowledge of foundational AI concepts.
- Ability to assess risks and develop effective control measures.
- Familiarity with privacy and security fundamentals.
- Excellent documentation, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Experience with governance platforms, particularly ServiceNow is a plus.
- Previous exposure to AI observability tools such as Fiddler AI is preferred.
- Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 for LLMs and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework is advantageous.
- Exposure to agentic AI risk patterns will be considered an asset.
- Previous experience reviewing vendor assessments is beneficial.
- Competency with basic analytics or scripting languages like SQL or Python for control validation is a plus.
- IAPP Certified AI Governance Professional certification is preferred.
Salary: Expected range: $80,900 - $103,950. This position is not bonus eligible.
