Job Description

Articul8 AI is excited to bring on an outstanding Senior/Staff AI Research Scientist to help us redefine the landscape of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). As a member of our Applied Research team, you will engage in pioneering research aimed at advancing the capabilities of our AI systems. Your mission will involve designing, implementing, and evaluating inventive strategies to enhance our GenAI models, bridging the gap between GenAI research and product innovation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the go-to expert in various domains of GenAI research and development, including:
• Data pipelines: Design and optimize workflows for large-scale model training.
• Training methodologies: Implement various training strategies and optimization techniques.
• Reinforcement learning: Create RL algorithms tailored for GenAI applications in decision-making, personalization, and beyond.
• Multimodal AI: Develop systems capable of processing and generating content across text, image, audio, and video modalities.
• Personalization: Craft custom GenAI experiences by analyzing user behavior, preferences, and contexts for tailored content delivery.
• Knowledge representation and retrieval: Innovate techniques for effective information representation and retrieval.
• Play a pivotal role in technical leadership by designing and scaling novel algorithms and models, transitioning from research prototypes to impactful production systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to infuse cutting-edge research into products, ensuring our technological edge in the market.
• Stay attuned to and analyze emerging trends in generative AI, contributing valuable findings through publications at prominent conferences and journals.

Required Qualifications

• Education: PhD/MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Professional experience: 5+ years as an AI researcher with a proven record in applied research and/or product development, including at least 2 years focused on GenAI technologies.
• Core technical skills:
• Development of tools, libraries, and infrastructure for data preprocessing, model training, and deployment of LLMs in both research and production.
• Strong foundation in parallel/distributed computing on cloud platforms.
• Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, statistics, natural language processing, computer vision, and model evaluation.
• Programming Skills: Proficient in Python and familiar with version control systems such as Git, with a strong collaborative coding approach.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven publication record in elite conferences and journals.
