ML Engineer - Generative AI, Siri Agent Modeling

About the position

Responsibilities

• Model design, implementation, and training.
• Model iteration and evaluation.
• Researching and experimenting with new ideas.
• Applying state-of-the-art generative AI and machine learning methods to advance Siri's capabilities.
• Collaborating with dynamic, cross-functional teams across research, product, and software.

Requirements

• 1 year of hands-on industry experience developing deep learning systems.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI techniques/literature.
• Proficiency in Python and one of the deep learning frameworks (such as PyTorch, JAX, or Tensorflow).
• Excellent communication skills: strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

Nice-to-haves

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience with building AI agents, LLMs for tool use, and Multimodal-LLMs.
• Experience using Reinforcement learning, Distillation, RLHF fine-tuning, RAG/VectorDB, LLM uncertainty quantification.
• Experience developing, shipping and improving machine learning models in a production environment or a solid publication record in top-tier conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ICRA.
