Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Delivery Foundation Model

We're seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with strong technical expertise and a background in ML/AI.

In this exciting role, you'll collaborate with research scientists, senior engineers, and product managers to develop advanced machine learning models that optimize route plans even in challenging scenarios. You will work at the intersection of software engineering and machine learning to create plans that are effective, fair, and executable. You'll gain insights into optimization, routing algorithms, and build tools that empower our operators worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and enhance machine learning models alongside experienced applied ML scientists. Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions to partner teams.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design and launch innovative products and services into the market.
• Design and implement cutting-edge technologies within a large distributed computing environment, driving transformative changes in the industry.
• Focus on maintaining system health to enhance operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience without internships.
• 5+ years of experience programming in at least one software language.
• 5+ years of experience in leading design or architecture for new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
• 5+ years experience building machine learning models in a business context.

Compensation: The base salary range for this position varies by location, with packages offering sign-on payments and RSUs included. Location specifics include:

• Santa Clara, CA: $193,300 - $261,500 USD annually
• Bellevue, WA: $168,100 - $227,400 USD annually
