Senior AI Risk and Governance Analyst

Description
- Maintains awareness of emerging trends related to the use of AI, security, data protection, privacy, and AI laws and compliance frameworks
- Assists in implementation of a robust governance framework for AI systems aligned with ethical, regulatory, and corporate standards
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to establish governance protocols to manage risk throughout the AI lifecycle
- Establishes and reports on key performance metrics for AI use and risk management, balancing data utility with privacy, security, legal and regulatory requirements
- Administers and facilitates a multidisciplinary AI governance committee representing stakeholders across multiple domains
- Assists in developing comprehensive training programs to raise awareness and educate the organization on best practices for using AI
- Engages with cross functional risk pillar leads to deliver a comprehensive risk mitigation strategy to enable high-value AI use cases
- Reports on implementation maturity status of the AI Governance Program to senior leadership
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree: Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field
- 4+ years of job-related work experience
- Strong knowledge of information security and privacy policies, controls, and standards
- Familiarity with distributed and network infrastructure, databases, and cloud computing technologies
- Experience with model risk management and data governance
- Working knowledge of information security related laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., FFIEC, GLBA, HIPAA, SOX, ITGC, NYDFS, NAIC, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, NAIC AI Bulletin)
- Ability to translate requirements into enterprise-wide regulatory compliance and risk management processes
- Knowledge of data privacy laws and ethical considerations related to AI
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives and manage multiple priorities
- Data Literacy & Data Ethics; Data Integrity and Quality Assurance
- Business and Data Architecture; Information Life Cycle Management
- Software Evaluation; Development Life Cycle for Software; Development Methodology and Procedures
- Content Management & Semantic Technologies; Definition of Metrics and Measurement
- Relationship Management & Collaboration; strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in Insurance and/or Financial Services industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, IAPP/US, Certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP), etc.
